45 Years Strong (1972 - 2021)
Welcome to the Central Illinois Chapter of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses (CICAACN). The CICAACN serves Acute and Critical Care nurses in central-midwestern Illinois. Our chapter is one of over 230 local chapters of the National AACN and is in Region 10 in Illinois. CICAACN was formed in 1972 and has grown to 38 members.
We are a non-profit, nursing organization, dedicated to the professional growth of our members. We strive to assist critical and acute care nurses in meeting the challenges and demands of their profession and caring for the chronically and critically ill through networking, communication, education, and research. The Central Illinois Chapter supports the mission and vision of AACN, and works to further advance the key initiatives of certification, healthy work environments, and the prestigious Beacon Award.
